Wheelchair Weighing Scales

Wheelchair weighing scales are specially constructed to weigh a chair-bound patient. They come basically in two formats i.e. a pair of weigh beams with ramped ends. These are very portable and can be carried to various sites. They are placed on the ground far enough apart to accommodate the wheelchair being used. The wheelchair and patient are wheeled onto the weigh beams. The Tare weight of the wheelchair can either be deducted prior to the weighing or afterwards. Alternatively, a flat floor platform with ramped ends can be used. Usually these remain in one place although ther are portable ones with transport wheels available. Class III Approved.
