About the A&D AD-1688 Data Logger

The A&D AD-1688 is a handheld device that lets you collect weighing data without connecting your balance or scale to a PC which means storing weighing data is possible in an environment where a personal computer can not be used. You can connect the AD-1688 to any scale or balance that has RS232 / D-Sub 9-pin / D-Sub 25 pin / 7-pin DIN connections (all included).

Features an internal clock which allows the date and time to be stored, along with the weighing data.  The maximum data to be stored is approximately 5000, using the A&D standard format (15 characters in 1 data set). The stored data can be downloaded to any personal computer using USB. As the AD-1688 is recognized as USB memory, special software is not required to read the data. The data is stored in CSV format and can be used easily by software such as EXCEL.

* If the AD-1688 is not detected by your PC Depending on your type of PC, if a USB extension cable is used, the signal may weaken and not be detected by the computer. Please either connect the AD-1688 directly to your PC without using a USB extension cable, or connect the AD-1688 to your computer using an off-the-shelf USB hub.
